Todd J. Harris, DO, is a provider at Essential Health – Bozeman. Dr. Harris is board certified in family practice and has been practicing family medicine since 1997. After spending most of his career in conventional medicine, he began to see the need for both access to comprehensive continuity care and a root-cause approach to healing for patients. He began his training in functional medicine and now combines this skillset with his almost 30-year foundation of primary care. Dr. Harris values connecting with his patients personally, digging deeper into what keeps them healthy, and truly making a difference in their lives.
A graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed his internship at Mesa General Hospital and Medical Center in Arizona. He completed a family medicine residency at Family Medicine of Southwest Washington an affiliated program of the University of Washington. He is a clinical faculty of the University of Washington School of Medicine. Most recently, Dr. Harris served as the medical director/physician system director of Bozeman Health retail health offerings. His clinical expertise is preventative care, chronic disease management, Bariatrics (weight loss medicine), and athletic performance enhancement.
Dr. Harris is originally from St. Paul, Minnesota. He is married to his high school sweetheart, and they have two grown children. He is a hockey player, pickleball participant, golfer, and hiker. He has traveled extensively, accompanying his wife on Camino treks, volunteering his healthcare expertise in India, as well as delving into spirituality with a variety of teachers.
