Becoming an Essential Health precision health care client means taking a step towards optimal health. Precision health care combines the best of conventional medicine with principles in functional and integrative medicine to approach health care from a whole-person perspective. It provides 24/7 access to a provider with minimal wait time for appointments, and visits with a provider that are more than a brief touch point: precision health care providers allocate at least 30-60 minutes per session, diving deeply into a client’s health profile and helping create a path forward to best health.
Meet & Greet
The first encounter with a precision health care provider typically involves a “meet & greet” where a prospective client will discuss their health issues as well as health goals and objectives they wish to address. A provider will determine what precision health care program is appropriate for the client’s goals, whether it be direct primary care, hormone balance, IV therapy, or another service. The meet & greet is not intended to be a medical consultation, but an opportunity to understand precision health care’s unique approach to health and longevity optimization. It is also a chance to begin establishing an initial provider-client relationship that is vitally important to starting the highly personalized journey to improved health. A provider will then proceed with scheduling a Total Health Assessment for clients moving into a direct primary care program, or Wellness Exam for those who are starting with a program other than primary care.
Total Health Assessment
A Total Health Assessment is for those interested in receiving a comprehensive look at their current health and a full health and longevity optimization plan, as a precursor to joining a direct primary care program. It takes a deep dive into a client’s current health status and includes health history, biometrics, a functional exam, a physical exam, and extensive lab testing with a full personalized written report and plan. The client will then be scheduled for a follow-up consultation a few weeks after the Total Health Assessment to review results of the assessment interpreted by a provider, as well as recommendations for a health and longevity optimization plan. While the Total Health Assessment is a requirement for becoming a primary care client, it can be enjoyed by anyone as an excellent adjunct to consultations or alongside other wellness programs.
The Wellness Exam is a concentrated foundational assessment that is intended for clients who may not be ready to participate in direct primary care but are interested in hormone balance or IV therapy programs. It includes a one-hour visit with a provider to review health history, biometrics, physical exam, and lab results (obtained in advance). A provider will then craft a personalized health optimization plan.
Primary Care Annual Assessment
Primary Care Annual Assessments are available for all direct primary care clients as a yearly comprehensive follow-up to examine any changes in health. This assessment is identical to initial Total Health Assessments, except it is customized to fit a client’s personalized needs each year. Health optimization and longevity plans can be maintained or adjusted based on assessment results and a client’s health goals. The Annual Assessment is included in the monthly subscription fee.
The Precision Health Care Difference
Precision health care goes further than conventional medical care by helping a client achieve the highest level of well-being as possible. For example, Essential Health programs are not designed to maintain the status quo, but to address underlying issues that are preventing a client from regaining their full health. Precision health care providers are trained in conventional medicine and certified in functional and integrative medicine, and believe in empowering clients to achieve health and longevity with lifestyle changes and non-prescription means whenever possible. By developing a solid roadmap, precision health care providers help their clients to first reach a state of well-being and then optimal health and longevity.
